The Independent Rear Suspension Lives Through Its Second Autocross!

This is no mean feat!  Given that I cut through major structural members in the installation process, I continue to be amazed that she holds together.  Not just on (relatively) gentle drives to work, but also at the traction limit once a month in a hot parking lot in Wickliffe!  BB can now pull about 1g sideways, and fore and aft since the tire patches carry force of the same magnitude in all directions.  That means 2000lbs of sideforce on all my welds and bolts!  I detailed in a previous post, the need for Loctite, and it seems to have held up.  At least I arrived with all fasteners in place and got home in the same condition with no visits to auto parts stores in between!

An autocross is also a car show.  That's one of the best parts!

Since no spectators are allowed, thanks to COVID, I have no external shots.  But I did capture a video.

But after all those ups and downs, the sunset on the way home was amazing!  Almost as amazing as the pulled pork my parents and brother cooked in the Big Green Egg!
Ohio delivers this Summer every year!  Breathe it in and keep having #funwithcars!
